The previous time, I used an artefact (ultimate crown)... and people thought I dyied my hair in yellow with paint... 

but yeah, of course I can use something else, I can use almost anything !!

Hooray, I'm finally done with my master degree in chemistry. Now I have much more time for various HoMM-related activities.

That's 2 good news ! Congratulations for your Victory in the Chemical studies ! (Knowledge+1 ? )
And more time for H2/H3SW stuff means it will be a good summer !

I'm actually playing Diablo2 in the new Ladder. So I am kind of busy with my Diablo2 website actually but I'm kind of learning new stuff of css/html with it, so maybe there is some lines I would be able to put in the design of this forum, later.

The more customization abilities we have, the better I actually planned to make some new graphics for the forum interface - and those Facebook, Twitter, Skype etc. buttons need some polishment, too.

I just "released" my english ability on Lands of Enroth.
For the moment, each day there will be a different screenshot on entrance page... But I need some screenshots of the game in russian/poland language. :p (saved in png ^^) I would have liked to take them myself, but I don't have any EXE/AGG files in russian/polan :s
(I wrote russian/poland, but any other than french/english is welcome.. )


I tried to make an image for the main page's title:

Awww.. I'm not skilled for that. I used Artweaver 1.0... And a mouse... Next time I will just draw on a paper then scan. It will be much more better.

We also need a better "title image" with "Forums of Enroth" written on it.. But it would be better if someone else make it!

I'll look through this problem when I'll be back from the countryside

VCMI made great progress! I really consider moving SWmod to their platform, instantly when it will offer sensible gameplay.

I have been asked about porting H3SW to vcmi numerous times. However, currently it lacks AI and a lot of other things while we have a ready solution here on Era. Moreover, starting from v0.8 H3SW installation is gonna become HotA-styled with its own h3sw.exe and h3swmaped.exe. Downgrading back to a portable VCMI mod state cannot be considered ultimate; it should rather be an additional, reserve variant.

2 days ago I went to see the start of   Tour de France at Muret (a little city where I'm living)
And I took a video for a   japanese friend.
But... Maybe it can interest some people here?

Fantastic! I've never seen Tour de France so close. You seem to have very narrow streets if that's your home town

hehehe very happy that at least someone like! I was really doubting about if it was interesting or useless... xD
In fact it's not really my hometown, I'm living in a little town 20 mins away from here. ^^




And by the way, something I don't like in the H3:SW mod, it's the wog or hota features... I never really played theses h3mods, and so, seems difficult to say "same as H3 without any other mod than SWmod", for people not use to theses Zounds of options.


By the way, about "Zounds !"... I saw this word in Heroes I (H1 exist only in english)...
And someday (10 years ago! omg^^) I asked to my english teacher what was the meaning... and... she didn't know. Then I started to trust it was "Enrothian" language!!
But... right now I checked on google translate... It says something in french thtat make sense.. it's was definitively not related to the numerous of the army... But something we said in middle age for same situations we says "Oh my god" now.
(English language seems that it was more fancy before! )

Yeah, English was closer to French back in the day :) I guess, it all comes from the language of the Normans.

As for H3SW, it is WoG-based. (By the way I plan to block WoG options for v0.8). HotA is not WoG, it's some kind of opposite - it provides classic gameplay and no variety, but focused on balance and graphical neatness + 10th castle, the Cove castle.

Anyways, if you don't like WoG options, just don't use them. The default is all WoG options turned off. Simple, isn't it? :)

Ahhh I can't wait to try H3sw 0.8!!!
Yeah... By the way, we will need a topic for explaining that stuff about ERA/WoG/HotA/H3SW. Because even me I'm so lost into theses stuff.
So..
I imagine someone who didn't involve in any HoMM community since 10 years, if he just want get a look into H2/H3 stuff: he will never knows by where to start!

HotA is Horn of the Abyss, the fan-made Russian add-on for Heroes 3 SoD. They even made their own campaigns.


As far as I know there are English translations and even Polish and Chinese in progress. I may be mistaken but I've seen also about French translation somewhere.

I felt I had a very busy September, but the weather was actually also quite warm (not warmer than July though).
