From time to time, it is really relaxing just playing H3SW without thinking about what needs to be worked at. Today I had a nice Sunday gaming day with my favorite H2 map "Alteris". I managed to stack up quite a lot of spell power for Crodo

That is really a lot of Spell Power!

While doing the final fixes on H3SW before release tomorrow, I noticed a H2 Easter egg that I didn't hear about before. Vampires and Vampires Lords are the only creatures in the game that don't cast a shadow on the adventure map or in combat. Even Ghosts and Air Elementals have a shadow I believe this is a reference to some tales about Vampires where they don't cast a shadow

Of course we retain this Easter egg in H3SW

By the way, there is a technical possibility to assign custom hero adventure/battle sprites for each hero. That was my dream once to create personalized sprites for everyone so Ambrose can be, well, Ambrose on the battlefield, and so on.

However, that creates difficulties when a mapmaker wants Ambrose's specialty for someone else, if I recall correctly.

It's also hard to transfer specific face traits in that resolution, so I gave up at the time because of a low priority.

@Orzie woah! That looks sooo cool! I think it can be hard to implement as you said but that would be really great to see in game.

If the hero exterior could be tied to the hero portrait (instead of hero ID/specialty), then it would be 100% possible. The amount of graphic work, however, could be insane, 'cause we have more than 60 heroes and there are also adventure forms which also must be animated.
