Very nice job! Perhaps we can even make it 2-squared later somehow (with the addition of some structure nearby, for example), and fill the niche perfectly.
It also might need darker pixels on the edges of the roof so that they won't be lost on bright terrains.

Looking very nice as always. For the attack I initially intended the movement similar to H3 Devil since he has a scythe too. If you need the sprites, tell me via FB or here on the forum.

Whoa! It's been a while since the last activity in this thread. I wasn't lazy though, was posting my work for the mod in Graphics discussion thread here! First, main menu for the mod and moddb site, then in game backgrounds for when you're choosing a map! A lot of work, cause it's very high-res high-quality images, but it's going somewhere
Since I wanted to take a short break from them, I decided to finish some anims I started to make in december and I must say, I'm really found of the final effect. Only death remaining and if I'll go well, it'll be just as awesome as those, promise And after that, harpy!

I thought about this idea once. But, square icons were removed from the game for a reason. Probably, this crest shape was considered by NWC as too simple. I still hope to find use to all this graphics from H1 for artifacts and maybe other assets of the project.

Remaining anim for the anu: Fun fact - I like to act some of the animations I make in real life to make sure they feel natural for the creature - no unnatural movements, falling, lying etc. This way I can make sure they're beliveable

Yeah, looks cool. I am still wondering about that standing scythe though, because it's taking so much space and no other corpse in the game does not have that kind of display. Perhaps it should be disappearing too.
It also draws a lot of attention and irritates the eye when there are more than 1 dead Anubite stack on the battlefield and you try to maneuver amongst these corpses.

I also thought about that because this might look even cooler and emphasize on the Anubite "half-undead" feature.
By the way, the Anubites cannot be transformed to Skeletons at the Transformer - one more hidden reference to their robotic nature in MM6.
