| This thread is reserved for developing the faction lineup. According to the Ironfist Wiki, the first lineup draft features this list: - Ironfist Wiki wrote:

The lineup information can be severely changed in future. Graphic assets are coming later.

| After some thoughts here I'll post some ideas for Cyborg faction's lineup. I was heavily inspired by old MM games and VCMI Forge project (in whose team I am), so... here you go. 1. TrooperBy "Trooper" I mean this guy: ...but with blaster, similar to blaster goblins. Simple yet understandable concept. No copying of other units, but the unit's characteristics are basically the same. The only shooter in the whole lineup. 2. Arsonist -> PyroMaybe Gog? But I don't know, it could be any other creature, really. The point is it should attack 2 hexes and be pretty fast. 3. Sucker -> Soul SuckerClassic monster from MM6. Only flyer in the whole lineup. I think it should have the ability to cast something similar to Forgetfulness from Heroes 3 (same concept as in VCMI Forge). The upgrade should be somehow similar to Cerberus, with two heads and 3-hexes attack. 4. Sentry BotClassic droid from MM5 and MM6. Not a flyer, but it can go above the obstacles (but that also means it can't get through the whole battlefield in one movement). 5. JuggernautCompletely new monster made for VCMI Forge. It was heavily inspired by Annihilator from MM5. Its ability is to regenerate several HP every turn (not like Trolls, but still very unconvenient for the enemy). 6. ColossusNot much to say here - this is the must have. | |

| Hello there! I think the main problem with forge in general is that it uses units that seem so technologically advanced, that no other faction could stand up against them. The blasters etc. would propably change the warfare tactics completely, as it already happened in our world. So instead, I would propose to still make it cybered-up, but make it so that it is comparable to the other factions. I think cyber-swords and such fit better than guns, because if you really wanted to, you could convince yourself it is still just magic. So here's my proposed line-up (without the upgrades for now): 1. Gremlin - could be fast with very low hp (maybe even 1) but deal 1-3 damage or so 2. Slime - fast and generally weak, but lowers opponents defence like disrupting ray 3. Pyromancer - could be a reliable unit with the 2-hex ability. For the looks, I would not give them the flamethrower but instead they could have some sort of heavy technological gloves on their whole arms that shoot fire, to at least imitate magic a bit. Rest could be similar to male H4 chaos sorcerer. 4. Red Warrior - similar to minotaurs but regenerate like trolls. Could be costy. Also, as the line-up lacks 2-hex creatures, this one could be changed to some big animal-like robot. 5. Enchantress - towns only shooter and flyer (they teleport), very fast, could have no melee penalty and cast random debuffs. 6. Colossus - could be a cross between cyclopes and dragons with about 250 hp, 2-hex attack and magic immunity. | Good ideas all around Orothin! I'm something of a Holst fan myself. The design has advanced quite a bit since this post, and we'll be revealing a bit of it soon. I'm personally super-excited about the planned creature lineup. As a teaser, I can tell you that one of your ideas is quite close to the plan. | |

| Of course, I'm working on the hero graphics but I also wanted to see how Alien from MM1 would look in Heroes 2. Concept (I used skeleton legs): It could be a 1st level creature instead of gremlins. As Orothin wrote: "could be fast with very low hp (maybe even 1) but deal 1-3 damage or so". |

| I just like to waste my time on making useless graphics. I like changing NES sprites because they only use three colors and they are very small and easy to modify. Heroes 2 is a great game and I love them, but its graphics style is complicated a lot and I don't even try to imitate it. However, it's nice to relax sometimes, even if your "work" is pointless. |
