[Utility] Various HoMM2 Tools

Here is a list of available utilities for Heroes 2 made by fans all over the world.

Heroes 2 Patches by AlexSpl
These patches (four different files for different English and Russian versions of the game) allow to fix the 100% CPU bug, the AI bug when the computer player dispel positive casts on his army, and, optionally, a restored Wait function which words by pressing "W".


Universal Balance Patcher v1.2 for HoMM2 GoG
An utility allowing to change stats for creatures.


CD Music Fix
A fix which enables CD Audio in older versions of the game (not required for Heroes 2 Gold GoG-version or Russian Buka H2Gold)


SW Music Patch
A selection of patches which change the music tracks from PoL to SW in the GoG version of the game.


IPX Wrapper
An IPX emulator for Windows Vista/Windows 7. Can be used as a solution when TCP/IP is not working.


ROLAutosaver
An utility which allows to control the autosaving process of the game.


Balance Editor
An utility which allows to make balance changes in the game, like creature costs, growth, etc.


HoMM2 Digger
An utility which allows to dig a needed hero. In other words, it allows to make the save/loading process of searching for the needed hero automatic.


Alternative Graveyards
This utility allows the mapmaker to place older versions of Graveyards on the map.


Heroes 2 Trainer
An utility which allows to get unlimited resources in any moment of time.


Savegame Editor
An utility which allows to change pretty many things in your savegame files.

Army Power
A Microsoft Excel file which allows to calculate the power of an army.


Remove Cheater Title
An utility which removes the Cheater title from the Hall of Fame (DOS)


EXE file v2.0 with debug info
A specific EXE file which contains all debug information. The info can be extracted with the use of IDA Pro disassembler.


100% CPU Fix
This is, simply put, a patched EXE file for English and Russian versions of the game which removes the CPU glitch causing the computer to freeze.
Also included in Heroes 2 Patches by AlexSpl.

Attention : La plupart de ces patchs sont incompatible avec les Heroes 2 français !
Car si vous avez Heroes II en français, vous êtes très probablement en version 2.0


Heroes 2 Patches by AlexSpl
Ces patchs (4 différents fichiers pour différentes versions du jeu : anglais et russe) fixent le bug du CPU à 100%, le bug de l'IA quand l'ordinateur lance "contre magie" sur ses troupes alors qu'elles n'ont que des bonus, et, optionnellement, une fonction oubliée : "Attendre" (qu'on active en appuyant sur la touche W).


CD Music Fix
Un patch qui active le CD audio dans les "vieilles" versions du jeu (inutile pour Heroes 2 de GoG et pour la version russe "Buka" H2 Gold)


SW Music Patch
Une sélection de patchs qui changent la musique de PoL à SW dans la version GoG de H2.


IPX Wrapper
Un émulateur d'IPX pour Windows Vista/Windows 7. Peut-être envisagé comme une solution quand le mode TCP/IP ne marche pas.


ROLAutosaver
Un utilitaire qui permets de controller la manière du jeu de gérer/faire les autosaves.


Balance Editor
Un utilitaire qui autorise à faire des changements dans le jeu, pour l'équilibrer (croissance, prix, stats, etc).

Un utilitaire qui permets d'obtenir des ressources illimitées à tout moment.


Savegame Editor
Un utilitaire qui permets de changer plein de choses dans vos fichiers de sauvegardes.

Remove Cheater Title
Un utilitaire qui supprime le titre de "TRICHEUR !!!" dans les Scores. (pour la version DOS)


EXE file v2.0 with debug info
Un fichier .EXE spécifique qui contient toutes les informations "debug". Les infos peuvent être extraites à l'aide de "IDA Pro disassembler".


100% CPU Fix
Ceci est, simplement dit, un EXE patché pour les versions anglaises et russes du jeu qui supprime les "glitcht" qui font bloquer l'ordinateur.
Aussi inclus dedans : Patchs Heroes 2 de AlexSpl.

Edits towns bldgs spells but only in windows version

Also check post dated posted August 13, 2021 07:28 PM on that same page(heroescommunity) another version of the UBP for Windows posted. From that conversation the DOS version is out as that is a thread for AI improvement which uses windows version(which am excited to try).
If not paying attention, GOG out of the gate installs DOS version, hence the interest in the tools above in OP.
