[H3SW v0.8.0] [EIP=0x004446E1] Crash while attacking enemy hero

Crash EIP=0x004446E1 occured when I attacked a hero with Witch army.

EDIT for viewers: Eagle Eye fault.

Already fixed for v0.8.1.

Check if the hero has Eagle Eye skill. It it's true, don't cast anything simple enough in battle.

EDIT: Vatawna indeed has this skill.

Arhh! Devs always one step ahead! A nightmare for a tester!

Is there any way to check enemy hero specs? Cause the crash happens at the moment of attack. I can't even look at battleground.

nvm, I set up quick combat on the fight before. It does not happen at the moment of attack.

This is actually strange that the crash occurs so early. In all previous reports, a player could at least have a chance of doing something right.

My version is that she has either Snake Ring or Evil Eye, so they cast Bless/Curse at start and Vatawna learns it.

What you can do to kill the hero is to temporarily remove this file from the mod build:
(Heroes 3)/Mods/The Succession Wars/EraPlugins/h3sw_artifacts.era

And place it back again when you deal with Vatawna.

Be careful, because artifacts won't be working as intended during this forced troubleshoot phase.


EDIT: Alright, glad you got out of the situation.

Yes, it was my fault and I already made an edit about it. I had Quick Combat set up. Forgot to take it off after last fight with creeps on map.

It must have been a divine intervention or a 6th feeling that I removed probabilities of getting Eagle Eye for all heroes for v0.8.0, leaving this skill only as a starting one for a couple of spellcasters.
