That is the version I am talking about. It is the v0.8 version of the mod, but it is not finished yet. We are working on it right now.

Apologies for my ignorance but is there an ETA for this. So excited for this. Is there anywhere i can donate to this project. Developer is doing an awesome job.

You know, the world of modding is built mostly on free time, and there are usually no strict rules or release dates.
Once I was careless enough to promise a release in 2015, and it's still not available, while I am constantly bashed by the community for that.

So that - sorry, I cannot promise anything. A lot of things happen everyday, and the release cannot happen if anyone of us is inavailable at a certain moment.

Probably, the v0.8 beta of the project will be more or less ready to be released by the end of this year, when all necessary graphic assets, programming tweaks and beta testing will be finally completed so the game will be at least playable as a whole, not as a touch-and-forget version.

Appreciate you taking the mod with extra care and agree better to delay and spend time to perfect the mod then rush it. You should add a donation option as added instinctive i guess to work on the project. If you need any testers, happy to do so.

Another question, will this be an addition to Heroes 2? Or will it be a separate game altogether. Sorry if these questions are answered elsewhere, just point me in the right direction.

Donation is barely possible for various reasons. First is that we don't want problems with the current Might&Magic franchise owner, Ubisoft LLC. Second is that we work on a free basis, and there are members who contribute more, and there are those who contribute less. All of them are important and it is not an easy task to define how much money who should get. I don't see donations possible.

If I would require some money to produce high quality content for the project (e.g. a good sound engineer for the castle opera soundtracks), I'd rather ask some friends of mine or spend my own money for this.

Third, there is barely any donation big enough to free us from our jobs and education.

This is not Heroes 2. This is based on the platform of Heroes 3. First and foremost, it uses and enriches the graphic beauty of Heroes 2, while the gameplay resembles more of Heroes 3, with some important differences and even possibilities to change something to your preferences, thanks to WoG (Era) functionality.

You will require clean Heroes 3 Complete (GoG version) to run this. HotA (Horn of the Abyss) fan-made expansion can be installed simultaneously.

Well to me this is the best of both worlds. My fav heroes is heroes 2 and then 3. Can't wait to try it. I'm starting the campaign again tonight!
