When did you play Heroes of Might and Magic for the first time?

I think I was playing the first Warcraft and Age of Kings (not sure of the order) when I discovered the world of HoMM after the release of H2 PoL. I was in some store and picked up the large game box, read-it and was eager to get back home and give it a go. I've been a fan ever since. Btw, I still have both the original game and SW expansion.

I've belonged to HC and CH for a few years now and still visit both.

Have you ever made maps for HoMM?

Yes. I didn't start till H3 came out. Didn't purchase H4 and bought H5 and eventually started making maps. Though I came very late to the game and found map-making already dead due to the non-user-friendly editor.

What other old games do you play?

Atm, only H3 and H5. I never tried to install my H2 again because I read that it would not run on Win7.

What do you hope...to do on this forum?

Really, I just joined to show my support for the fine effort you guys have and are making. I suppose one day, if you get an editor up and running, I could contribute to the community then.

What languages do you speak?

Only English. Unfortunely I speak no other but a broken Spanish or I would offer to help with translations "if needed."

As for the striked-through text, we have a whole thread for launching H2 on newer systems

And yeah, the map editor for H3SW should be up and running already in version 0.8 (or the next milestone after it), in case you meant that specific editor.

I don't understand why "most" of my text is struck-thru? I tried to figure out what happened but cannot.

I fixed the issue. There was an < S > bbcode command just after the first paragraph.
