I voted for the H3 Battle System because of the side of the battlefield.

With H2 BS Flyers will become the must have and, as Sir Albe said, Warlock will be too powerfull, army with a lake of flyers will be greatly penalised even with a change of speed and shooter playstyle will be less effective.

For me the wait button shouldn't be merge with the H2 BS, it make the real difference between H2 and H3 because it change what do you want in the fight. In H2 you will change the position of yours units in sort of this one move before this one (at egal speed) during the fight, because it can make a different who act first. In H3 its more when each unit will move/attack rather than the order your army move.

Magic will also be affected making mass slow,forgetfulness more usefull and mass haste, precision a bit useless.

Thanks for the opinion. I must note that under "Hybrid" system as well as all other options I intended H3 battlefield, because that poll is a little bit biased towards the development of Heroes 3 The Succession Wars total conversion. Very Happy

I voted H3 combat mode.
As i believe, quite some of the H3 artifacts are ought to be disabled, if you play with those otherwise tasty sounding H2 settings. Bow of the Sharpshooter came in my mind instantly, not to mention some WoG specific items. Range penalty modifiers are just not fit for H2 battles, but this is a minor detail realy.
But you intend to use H2 artifacts only. Problem solved. Very Happy
Than again, you need either a balanced artifact set for both mode, or two completely different set...

We are not only going to implement classic H2 artifact list, but also design new artifacts. Thankfully there is a lot of free space in the game for them.

I couldn't agree more. The endless waiting minimizing maximizing is for me the worse thing in h3 combat. I hate abusing stuff like that.

Other than that everything is decent I suppose, so I "could" probably vote for H3 battle system BUT without the wait option. On the other hand, vanilla simple H2 was also fine and I never got tired of it after thousands of hours, so I could certainly live with H2 vanilla battle system, probably even easier than the H3 one. I'm certainly not a fan of the wait option also due to huge battles in terms of time spent.

Yeah. At least, we are going to revitalize the magic system, so spells like Mass Haste and Mass Slow won't be acquirable so easy as it is in H3 where Earth Magic and Air Magic are the only valuable magics all the way.

The new gameplay is already going to be promising.
