I saw the adventure map dwelling for the gnomes. Is that tar pit due to be replaced with something that looks similar? It's a good looking mushroom house.

Yes, our intention is to replace the old tar pit (back from the 2013 beta days) with a more appropriate dwelling for the Gnome as the mushroom house

The latest thing I considered for the new Wizard townscreen (which is in progress and a great deal of it is finished) is to try something different for the Gnome dwelling.
I finally embraced an old idea of presenting Gnomes as Magi's christmas elves (possibly a H3 gremlin reference here). Except, well, they are red and a maybe yellow a bit. So, they should be recruited from something like a Workshop.
The shape of the building asks to be tower-like in the current situation, but it is not set in stone.
