This crash is reproduced in clean Era 2.46 and thus is a fault of the platform. We do not know how to fix it yet.
It is easier to cause it when a player provokes the game to address the graphical resources of the game, like switching to Single Player Menu and cancelling back to Main Menu, done repeatedly for a number of times.
The crash happens in the game randomly, so if it happens, reload Autosave and be done with it.
