Now we can use multicolored fonts! (grayscale, with automatic colorizing, if needed +semitransparent shadow)


at now adding colors to font needs manual work (with an hexeditor), but later I'll do export from png or functional editor.

So, after this we should change a bit standart text colors: standart H3 {emphasis} with pale yellow color (second row, second-third group) seems washy. AFAIK, those colors placed in some .pal file..

Gentlemen, I congratulate us all in removing the last major conversion problem for Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Succession Wars.

feanor, that is just incredible! I didn't even think it was possible to convert all text to the H2-style, but it seems you just do it every time. I am truely amazed. Thank you for this great feature!

The development of the big font also goes fine. So nice that Uhm spent some time for the gold font - now it came in handy.

As a final improvement for v0.8 beta, I guess I will consider moving the letters down a little and adjusting the visibility of shades.

For the future releases we may consider an upscaled font so it could become bigger to satisfy the given space in the game interfaces. The letter style is to remain the same.

Also, we should do something to the small font. It stands out too much being too bright for the current interface. I think I should darken it a little, maybe even add a slight shade gradient. We already can see how beautiful is the middle font, especially yellow-colored (Select a Scenario to Play). This is the effect of shades we wanted so much.

The fonts are almost completed. They will be additionally revised for v1.0. Now we aim for promo screenshots.

I'm currently making the final fixes to the fonts (mainly, kerning since the gold BIGFNT would require some programming adjustments so I dunno if we really make them for v0.8 ).

A reminder on GAME.PAL (let's leave it here as well so it might be easier to find if needed).
