IsBattleInTown()

Returns "true" if the battle takes place in a town, returns "false" otherwise.

IsBattleOnBoat()

Returns "true" if the battle takes place on a boat, returns "false" otherwise.

*

IsBattleOnLand()

Returns "true" if the battle takes place on land, returns "false" otherwise.

*

CancelBattle()

Cancels the battle just before starting the battle on the adventure map.

Hello,

I can see how these may prove useful, but with the functions that already exist, I have a difficult time understanding how they may be needed. Could you provide a scenario in which these functions may be needed?

Hmmm. I think you can simulate this by getting the location of the hero in the battle. I can definitely see some uses for this.

IsBattleInTown(), IsBattleOnBoat(), IsBattleOnLand()

In the "Unknown Mod", some heroes have bonuses depending on where they are fighting (town and boat).

Also, during the course of a scenario, the player can be offered a strategic goal or a quest. The reward for this goal (or penalty) is that all his heroes have bonuses (or penalty) depending on where they are fighting.

CancelBattle()

The player can be offered a strategic goal or a quest. The reward for this goal (or penalty) is that when the hero attacks a certain type of creatures (when he moves to one of the adjacent squares of the troop), the combat is canceled and the hero gets some bonus (gold, artifact, etc.), or the troop is removed from the map and replaced by another troop.
