I dont think this has ever been suggested, would be hard to make :d ... still, how would an ocean/sea castle work ? Only available on special designed maps with plenty of water. Could this be interesting for you ?

I think that there would not be enough of original ideas for another lineup (from mythology and fairy tales), but even if there were, it would have to wait untill v1.1 release after heretic.

Water fraction or water placement of common castles?
First is not a matter of discussion.
Second can be possible, but not now: game supports underlayers for water (such as for any other terrains), but they are not drawn; also, there is no support for, e.g., hiring heroes in boats

Concerning the water-located towns - that was once discussed, but no official position for now. I thought about some designs for new related water objects though, like a possible design for "water mountains".

I was thinking of a castle that can only start on water, so water is their main terrain.

It would be tricky to balance, you could only play with select maps or you would need to edit random map editor...

Still, only an idea. Dont know if anyone considered it!
