Hi, wanted to know if we're going to make polish localization for our mod? For example after every release starting from v0.8 beta

I can translate with a little help of acid cave volunteers, but I'm not able to dig in the files myself yet

Polish and Russian localisations are entirely possible. However, I suggest thinking about it after the release of v1.0, otherwise there will be too much work which must be done over and over. Not only the graphics for the buttons and fonts are required, but Polish texts for all of the maps as well.

Yet, 99% of the maps which will be in the release are conversions of classic Heroes 1, 2 and 3 maps (only official ones). For now you can store everything related somewhere so that you can take the texts and type/copy them in events or whatever when the translations will be finally worked on.

I'll provide the required instructions (for example, with feanor's font editor) by that time. Probably, it won't take too much time to translate the game, but one thing is certain - we need an official full English release first. Personally I am not ready for the overwhelming stream of bug reports in Polish, and all our Polish members are required in other frontiers.

Yes but dont think about it. You are graphic and do it. For translations we have more peoples than for painting:-)

People with a good approach to everything they do are the most valuable everywhere. Smile

I must restrain you however: the next versions (v0.9 and final v1.0) won't probably require as much drawing and overall work, just as their numbers suggest. Yet, some animations will still require improvements in the long run, but generally, what we've been doing for the last 4 years with the v0.8 is the most important work.
