 New HOMM2 Mobile Game

I am currently working on developing a Heroes of Might and Magic 2 clone from scratch using Unity and C#, what are some features that you would like to see implemented? One of the features that I am planning on doing is saving a game on a PC and being able to load it on a table or smartphone, basically start on one platform and continue on a different platform.

Any thoughts or ideas?

One thing I always kinda wanted was a multiplayer Heroes game that you could play over a long time. It would be perfect for your phone, where if you passed your turn, the other player would get a notification. So you don't really have to play at the same time, just do your turn when it suits you and then pass it. It's probably really hard to get it to work properly, but it would be a good option for a turn based phone game.

I was thinking about that but what happens when the other player decides to quit the game or has not played a turn in a month? You would have to be able to play the normal game on the side and a multiplayer game. This way if the other person takes their time to play a turn you can still play the solo game.

My thinking for multiplayer would be that you take turns and if any of the players quit then the AI will take over for that player.

And that would be the standard way of doing it, as it it right now. Not that that's a bad thing at all, I just think it would be more flexible to perhaps have both options if needed. But again, a lot of work.

Another thing I feel is lacking from a Heroes game is a overview of the progress each player has made. This could perhaps only be a score screen at the end of a game, or ideally some sort of spectator mode (which probably isn't ideal for the phone). This overview could include stuff like resources gathered and spent, army value, castle building progress, etc. - In some ways just a more detailed thieves guild. It would make it interesting to compare games or possibly watch games.

For me Heroes II is good on computer.
On cellphone I would see something different, in a Multiplayer way.

Each player has (is ) one heroes.
The castle is managed by the leader of the team.
(leader can be elected, or any other designation way (strengh? previous game's higher lvl? etc))
1 day in real life = 1 day in the game. (UTC based)
This is just the base concept. Smile

If it's a single game... mahhh there is already some Heroes 2 applications on the Play store... I never played them because I'm used to play it on computer. Smile

But I like also the Thorjac idea. When you pass your turn the next player is notified. It's really good.
Especially if we can have more than 1 game at the time. I already played some Yahtzee game with this turn-notification. Some game was cancelled because of one week inactivity, but I played more than just 1 game with people who was playing at the same rate as me. Smile
