Bug: Chain Lightning spell not affected by Lightning Rod nor Lightning Helm

Launch HEROES2W.EXE
Load "0-0-spell-test-lightning-etc-01.GX2" (MULTI-PLAYER --> HOT SEAT --> 2 PLAYERS --> EXPANSION MAP)

Natasha possesses the Lightning Rod (+50% damage for Lightning spells) and the Lightning Helm (-50% damage from Lightning spells).
Natasha has 7 points in Spell Power.

Natasha attacks Rebecca.

Natasha casts Chain Lightning on Crusaders.

Then bug.

Damages are 280 -> 140 -> 70 -> 35 (7 * 40 damage points) instead of 420 -> 210 -> 105 -> 52 (( 7 * 40 damage points) + 50% from Lightning Rod).

Crusaders skip.

Rebecca casts Chain Lightning on Crusaders.

Then bug.

Damages are 280 -> 140 -> 70 -> 35 (7 * 40 damage points) instead of 140 -> 70 -> 35 -> 17 (( 7 * 40 damage points) - 50% from Lightning Helm).

All the others artefacts related to damage spells work correctly:

Evercold Icicle (+50% damage for Cold spells)
Ice Cloack (-50% damage from Cold spells)
Ever Hot Lava Rock (+50% damage for Fire spells)
Fire Cloack  (-50% damage from Fire spells)
Heart of Ice (-50% damage from Cold spells but +100% damage from Fire spells)
Heart of Fire (-50% damage from Fire spells but +100% damage from Cold spells)
Broach of Shielding (-50% damage from Armageddon and Elemental Storm but -2 to Spell Power)

Beware, as the spell can hit enemy troops and hero own troops alternatively. Smile

example:

enemy troop (+50% damage) --> own troop (-50% damage) --> enemy troop (+50% damage) --> own troop (-50% damage)

the initial damages 280 -> 140 -> 70 -> 35 must become 420 -> 70 -> 105 -> 17

Thank you very much for this interesting discovery. For a very long time I've been leaving unnoticed that artifacts affect only simple Lightning.
That recently had some bad consequences for me in a tournament.

Have checked all the pairs of damage-spell amplifying and from damage-spell protecting artifacts.
I confirm Lightning Rod and Lightning Helm acting this way.

Partially agree. I want to notice that the Evercold Icicle and the Everhot Lava Rock increase damage both to enemy troops and to own hero's troops while their descriptions say "to enemy troops" only. Check it if you like, for me it's still OK however.
And take in account same "to enemy troops" in Lightning Rod's description if your team is going to fix it.

This was on my list of bugs for years, it's just recently that I took the time to test all the spells with the specific artefacts, sorry not having done it sooner, perhaps you would have won the tournament. Smile

Yes, the description texts are misleading, and yes, it must works as currently (only the texts should be adjusted), the hero should know what it does; unfortunately, he cannot check his inventory during combat, and sometimes, it's difficult to remember which hero has which artifacts.
